Monica Lewinsky offered $250k for infamous blue dress by Vegas museum

Monica Lewinsky may not want to bury her blue dress quite yet.

The Las Vegas Erotic Heritage Museum has offered her $250,000 for the stained piece of history --- and has also thrown in a job offer to the unemployed ex-intern.

"I am prepared to offer you a job managing and curating the Erotic Heritage Museum, starting at once for $100,000.00 per year, with a 10-year contract including benefits and cost of living increases," museum owner Dr. Harry V. Mohney wrote, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Mohney promised Lewinsky, 40, could use her "skills in communication and business to use in a positive way."

Lewinsky has not responded.

The offer from the museum, currently closed but set to reopen June 7, comes three weeks after Lewinsky's Vanity Fair essay in which she declared her eagerness to “burn the beret and bury the blue dress.”

In the magazine piece, she described her problems finding employment after her affair with Bill Clinton as employers often citen her "history" as a barrier to hiring her for jobs in the communications and branding sector.

"I was never 'quite right' for the position," she wrote, adding that she rebuffed multimillion-dollar offers "because they didn't feel like the right thing to do."
