With the active thought and a broadened outlook of the art, Chenzhiguang is a contemporary artist who explores the art perseveringly and diligently, covering the different fields of painting, sculpture, public art etc.In my opinion, the distinct characteristic of Chenzhiguang’s art creativity is the combination of the apperception and the sensibility. Chen has been pondering the cultural problems which the contemporary art faces. He is sensitive to the contending and exploring focus of the art. Instead of isolating himself, Chen always communicates and discusses with the other artists and critics. On the one hand, the apperception of the art culture helps to keep him owning an opening and dynamic mind, which urges him to be creative and deepens his art creation as well. On the other hand, based on the perception which each artist dreams to cherish, Chen made lots of experiments on different media of artistic materials in order to achieve mastery through a comprehensive study of the subject, trying to directly express his innate feelings of his own life experiences and memory of lives. The feature of his art with brilliant ideas and vivid language was gradually formed by the combination of these two factors. Many of his sculpture works got involved in a real space and achieved both a realization of the connotation and the extension of the significance.
