Talent Story - Three female artists' co-exhibition

2007-07-26 14:28:34 未知

Among all the academic discussions on female, the feminine way of dealing issues and women's rights, we can see that the paintings of female artists are a very important component of contemporary paintings. The co-exhibition of three female artists including Wang Xiaorong, Jiang Jing and Li Wen is a product of the times. The exhibition open on 2007.7.28 - 8.2 at 798-K Gallery 798 Art Zone, Main second street, No.2, JiuXianQiao Road, Chaoyang Region, Beijing. They have all graduated from professional training institutions, so they have solid technical skills. With continuous efforts, they have also developed their unique styles. The three of them share some common characteristics: independent, unique styles and they compete equally with male artists. The material installation artworks of Wang Xiaorong are very modern, yet they have a sense of tradition. She excels at using ordinary and simple materials in creating an extraordinary dimension. This boundless spatial concept represents her recognition of our disturbed nature and her concern of reincarnation. The oil paintings of Jiang Jing represent her concern to our environment. She reveals that under the surface of this prosperous development, only one clueless fish is left in the chaotic water. At the same time, she uses bright and elegant colors to fully display the nature of girls. Li Wen's oil paintings use dogs as an analogy. With her strokes, we see the characteristics of dogs: honest, brave, and wild. We also see the dogs' emotions: happy, painful, uneasy and helpless. She excels at technical skills. She uses points, lines, surfaces and wild strokes to express her deep feelings and understandings of life.
