"Life is elsewhere" scheduled in 2007 July 7 to August 5, in Taipei Soka contemporary art, meanwhile this is the first Yinqi solo exhibition in Taiwan, thus Yin Qi and his wife will present the Taiwan opening reception and further social exchanges. "Life is elsewhere" is famous quote from French symbolic poet Rambo, also found in the same titled novel of Czech writer Milan Kundera, which depicted an young artist's self-seeking journey. For the artist, there is no life around and real life is always elsewhere; in the novel, Author gave profound thought for the nature and situation of human being. This is a perennial inter-cultural experience from Yinqi explored between China-French reciprocal. We can often see his probation on daily manufactured material industrial goods from Yinqi's work, "I tend to take image as a man-made physical exist naturally, then the meaning of the image gets non-decomposable ...when I removed the excessive parts, the space showed from the space should be multi-pronged, metaphoric, not a limited explanation".
