Zheng Shuang Solo Exhibition will open on 18th,Aug-26th,Aug,2007 at National Art Museum of China.Zheng Shuang said, “I was born and brought up in northern China. When I was young, how I wished I could live in a place where there are both flowers and green plants throughout the year. After my graduation from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, I came to Guangzhou, where flowers really bloom all the year round, and you can always see many green plants with unknown names.”“ I am extremely excited to see those big flowers blooming on a tree. Mr Hou Yimin used to tell me, ‘You don’t have to go against your own interests. If you have feelings for flowers and lyric motifs, you should paint them.’ However, it was difficult to follow one’s personal interests in the past. After the reform and opening-up, the social environment in China has changed, and I have made these paintings, which all come from my true feelings. It is always so breathtaking for me to look at those beautiful big blossoms and lovely little flowers. And I am forever so fascinated by the pretty big animals and lovely small ones that I can only express my love for them by representing them in my paintings. ”His art work includes Backyard, Tonight’s moonlight, Blossoms of Chinese wisteria etc on exhibition.
