In River of Time, Huang Min reaffirms viewers of the ever-present relevance of tradition in our everyday, modern lives with her contemporary take on China's traditional landscape panoramic views of the Yangtze River into Chinese landscaping images and illustrations of everyday people standing at its railings. Ma Jun communicates to viewers through his contemporary, consumer objects made from traditional ceramic techniques. Although his pieces are non-functional, they are manifestations of what Contemporary Culture holds valuable. Xu Xiaoguo presents Performance in Waiting, riddles and enigmas wrapped up in extravagantly theatrical paintings. The artist takes viewers on a theatrical experience with his dramatic and thespian canvases. Li Xinping's large-scale works exploring themes of cosmogony, the creation of life, and his own visionary experiences in Chinese Synthesism has been extended till Sunday, 9 September 2007. New works from the artist have been added to the compelling exhibit.
