Thai Contemporary: Charm and Chasm exhibition on 4 August — 28 August, 2007 at Tang Contemporary Art 798 factory, 2 Jiuxianqiao Road, Chaoyang Dst., Beijing.The curator of exhibition is Josef Ng,and attended artists are Apichatpong Weerasethakuk, Kamin Lertchaiprasert, Manit Sriwanichpoom, Natee Utarit, Navin Rawanchaikul, Pinaree Sanpitak, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Sakarin Krue-on and Vasan Sitthiket. This exhibition aims to showcase exceptional artworks from various media in the visual arts field, including paintings, sculptures, photography, installation and inter-disciplinary projects. The exhibition will develop and present art, most of which are newly-commissioned, that is accessible to both the general public and artists to engage with. It is with the view that these singular works will act as catalysts to stimulate critical discussions between both countries.
