The abstract paintings “Light & Color” of world-famous Cuban artist Frómeta will be exhibited in BB Gallery during 15th September to 26th October, 2007. This exhibition is sponsored by BB Gallery and the Embassy of Cuba. It’s the first time that Cuban artist artworks shown in China. Frómeta, who was selected by the Embassy of Cuba, is the representative of Cuban contemporary artists. His artworks have been shown in a dozen countries such as France, America, Spain, Portugal, Malaysia, Mexico, etc. and gain great successes.When talking about Frómeta’s artworks, Cuban famous art critic Virginia Alberdi has once said, “the abstraction in Frómeta is a visceral claim transformed into capricious forms and colors, it is a chaos generated by the force of its talent and genius, the proposal of a presence that doesn't need of a story to catch the attention and to fascinate with the enjoyment in the face of wealth of so much color and forms amalgamated”.
