Juan is a type of silk. Juan painting is a traditional Chinese styled art. Dunhuang (a historical city in Gansu Province, northwest China, famous for its Mogao Caves and frescos) Juan Painting, with deep and steady colors, is prestigious for its quality of massiness and connotation of Buddhism. Compared with traditional Juan Painting, young painter Yang Ying's 60 works, which will be on display from September 22 to 30 in the Dong Feng Hotel, has another charm. With childlike images and fresh colors, Yang's paintings are perfectly incorporated with the quality of Juan, spreading a kind of unique female style –tender and exquisite. Her poetic world is displayed in the paintings with gardens in spring, beaches in summer, elegant maidens and flower-surrounded beds. The exhibition opens on 22th,Sept-30th,Sept,2007 at San Cai Gallery, inside Dong Feng Hotel.
