As a result of years of hard work, the Guangdong Museum of Art has basically formed a collection and research platform for China's contemporary and modern photography history. The Museum has abundant photo collections, has established a photographic experts workshop and set up the exchange mechanism with photographic scholars and exhibition planners both at home and abroad. The Muesum recently initiated the Shafei Photography Award, regularly holds the Guangzhou International Photography Biennial and has a large collection of Chinese photography organized in an historic data bank. To display the essence of its photograph collections, the Guangdong Museum of Art selected 100 Chinese photograph works from its collections for display and to share with museum-goers on 16th,Nov-2nd,Dec,2007.
