More than 50 design corporations, creative zones and academies from home and abroad are showing off their talents at the 2007 Shanghai International Creative Industry Exhibition at INTEX Shanghai, which opened on Tuesday.The four-day event aims to attract more than 10,000 visitors. Exhibitors include IKEA, Sony and renowned design companies such as Canada's Question Objects Inc, France's Naco and local companies such as s.point design and VEP Art and Design. Industry zones and design institutes are also at the fair."We want to create a platform for people to explore the creative industry market and help manufacturers find the creative design and innovations they want," said Xu Runhe, general manager of organizer Shanghai Asia-Pacific Advertising Corporation.He added the exhibition will become an annual event. The next one will be held from October 20-23, 2008.Also on display are about 400 creative works by promising student designers from China and South Korea.
