The book “Sun Zi war craft” is a kind of book that the art of war written down during ChunQiu Warring States Period. With the book “Wu Zi war craft” these two books are called Scriptures that the essence of Chinese war craft classic. Sun Wu (Sun Zi is his honorific titles), the author of “Sun Zi war craft”, was the great Chinese commander in ChunQiu Warring States Period around 5th Century B.C. This book consist of thirteen chapters such as; plan, fighting, conspiracy, army corps, military force, strong and weak points, battle, changes, topography, march, fire attack, spying etc. Because it was most important things that military affairs were concerns of state for that period.Gao Brothers is the oldest one among these three participants. From 1985 Gao Zhen and Gao Qiang started to working together under the name of ‘Gao Brother’. They went through the Great Cultural Revolution themselves, so they knew the real history of Chinese contemporary art more than any others. These kinds of rich experiences made their works firm and profound. They are the living witness of Chinese contemporary art history. This time Gao Brothers show us the series of . It based on their performance all over the world. They marched the world and finally they hugged the whole world to practice their humanism. The artist Liu Bolin graduated the masters at Central Academy of Fine Arts majored sculpture. But I prefer his photography works to sculpture ones. He has done making works the series of more than three years. He painted himself to hide on the train, wall, flag, street, grass and even being nobody. He disguised everything and nothing. At first I thought he is too shy to speak up his own voice upon the world that he was hiding everywhere such as ghost, spirit and shadow. But he is clever enough to seek how to survive, behave and success. He tried to know the enemy before fighting. Sun Yue is a distinguished person out of Chinese contemporary art scene. I just found out this young artist at the Pingyao International Photography Festival 2007. Frankly speaking the title of this show inspired from his works and his name. From the series of I could find out his philosophy about his life. He has been taught students at the college for 8 years. But he thought the students from elementary school to college seemed to be struggling to win like cruel battle. From his works we could find out some children looks like playing game together. But he want to show the childhood is not so much beautiful, naïve, simple and joyful. He uncovered the truth about children with satire and metaphor. Three artists are participated for this exhibition. I have no doubt they would be great artists before long. I think photography is the mirror of society，because photography reflect historical and social phenomenon. I think we could study lots of good things from the old lessons especially “Sun Zi war craft”. And I hope you to enjoy this exhibition one by one like pictorial puzzle.
