During the China's Ming and Qing Dynasty, China's porcelain production reached its developmental climax. Jingdezhen City, also known as the "City of Porcelain," was important during this time. The then-government had set up official kilns in Jingdezhen City, producing porcelain daily for royal use. (This means that royalty was using a different set of dishes everyday!) Jingdezhen City, located in China's Jiangxi Province, was superior to other places due to its unique natural condition and human culture. Even up till today, Jingdezhen City, sells their unique and exquisite products worldwide. Today, people are privileged to view 80 pieces from the predominant official kilns in the Guangdong Provencal Museum until December. The exhibits, chosen from the Nanjing Municipal Museum, include those used for daily use, sacrifice, decoration, religion, treasures of study and awards. All reflect the superb craft and art value of porcelain at its peak time in China. The exhibition opens at Guangdong Provincial Museum till 2nd,Sept,Dec,2007.
