Olympic venues are emerging. Echoing their evolution, the 2007 International City Sculpture Exhibition is underway in Beijing. Nearly a hundred pieces of sculpture will be displayed in succession at Olympic venues and on streets around the city. This year's event is based on the topical theme, - "Dream of Olympic Art". Exhibits were solicited from around the globe over the past year. Some are selected from previous exhibitions based on the Olympics theme. Some pieces are especially created for the showing by dozens of artists at home and abroad. This year's event doesn't present all the works together at a single venue. Some, actually are still in production. All will be unveiled in stages at Olympic venues, in parks and on streets: wherever they may enrich the urban landscape. This year's event features the elite of city sculpture. The exhibition runs until March 2008.
