Here's another art story that's fun - though the works are quite serious. It's one of the world's largest outdoor exhibitions - 'Sculptures by the Sea'. And it's happening in Sydney, in the land Down Under. Sydney's world famous beach is the setting for the showing of 106 contemporary sculptures. It's the 11th year for "Sculptures by the Sea." Sydney sculptor David Horton took the top prize for his piece "Yesternight: Work in Progress". The sculpture is an arrangement of a collection of objects.Horton says the setting was crucial to give his work the right look and feel.David Horton, sculptor, said, "When I was making it, when I was accepted to be a part of the show, I really did want to have a horizon line for these verticals to play off, that was, to get a site like this is really important for a sculpture like this"Marcus Tatton, an Australian artist from Tasmania, says he tried to portray the affects of logging, by carving his sculpture from a fallen eucalyptus tree. The exhibition is free and open to the public until November 18. 82 Australian and 27 international artists have entered their works in the showing.
