Xu Peiwu, former photojournalist of People's Daily, started shooting city's images in 1995. In recent years, Xu has recorded the urbanization of Guangzhou with photographs. He has chosen Guangzhou's Nansha, a rural area on the edge of city, as his longtime project. From the wild fields to skyscrapers, this small area epitomizes the city's urbanization. Xu's works which illustrate his anger toward the city's aggressive expansion into countryside have made a great contribution to recording the city's history. The exhibition opens on 24th,Nov-19th,Nov,2007 at Fei Gallery, Guangzhou.
