World-renowned Fashion Photographer Ellen Von Unwerth Present Solo Photo Exhibition at Beijing

Ellen Von Unwerth is a name synonymous to high-octane glamour, feminine beauty and sensual energy. Her iconic campaigns for Guess jeans in the early 90’s launched Von Unwerth to international acclaim. She has since gone on to shoot other major advertising campaigns including Rolex, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, Banana Republic, Alberta Ferretti, Lavazza, Diesel, Chanel, Miu Miu, Blumarine, Strenesse and Moet & Chandon, as well as a series of publicity ads for HBO’s ‘Sex in the City’.In addition, she has directed short films for Azzedine Alaia and Katherine Hamnett and commercials for amongst others Revlon, Cacharel and Lacoste.Von Unwerth’s photographs have been exhibited widely. In 1991 she was awarded first prize at the International Festival of Fashion Photography. Ellen has participated in several photography exhibitions, including a one-woman show at The Hamilton Gallery in London.Her first book, Snaps, was published by Twin Palms Press in 1994 and is currently in its second printing. In the fall of 1998 Schirmer Mosel and Te Neues published her book Wicked, and then Couples in 1999. Her book Revenge, also published by Twin Palms was released in February 2003. Exhibitions of the work from the book have been staged at the Staley Wise Gallery in NYC, Camera Works in Berlin, and in Moscow at the Pobeda Gallery in March 2007.
