Qu Fengguo records his life track by abstract dots and lines on his painting. His happiness and sadness in childhood, his comprehension about life after gown up, also his continuously thinking on life’s true meaning are hidden in these abstract images. Qu Fengguo’s art language was very simple, just the arrangement and gathering of straight lines and dots. His painting is always large, which appears imposing, low-key, westernize, contemporary, and kind of classical calm. Actually, he expressed his lingering impression and release of Chinese landscape painting by the water-ink style straight lines and dots. He tried to represent a kind of international painting language, but neither willing to give up the Chinese painting sprit.
