Caixin, President of the Taishan Artists Association, created works on oil painting, serial pictures, opaque watercolor painting and watercolor painting. Later, he devoted all of his attention to the exploration and study of watercolor painting. The hometown landscapes of overseas Chinese, seaside fishing boats and geography in Guangdong are the local themes for art productions, from which Caixin distilled abundant nutrition for his watercolor works in the 1960's. He held a simple grasp over the features of "water" and "color", describing the scenes simply and vividly through realistic painting and keeping the "vitality" and freshness of the painting at the same time. The colors of some of his works reserve rich oil painting sense, featuring his personal style in the simplicity of profound implications and coziness. This exhibition shows over 50 of Caixin's watercolor works at Guangdong Museum of Art, Hall 7 on 2007-12-27~2008-01-06.
