People in the Slovak Republic are learning more about China and about the Beijing Summer Olympics. A photo exhibition opened Wednesday,at the National Museum of Slovakia.

Chen Jianfu, Chinese ambassador to Slovakia and many diplomats of European countries attended the opening ceremony. The exhibition puts on display vivid depictions of China, from its natural scenic spots, to its vast numbers of cultural heritage sites, to panoramic views of social life in China.

Stealing the limelight at the show are the photos introducing the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The photo exhibition attracts visitors young and old. High school students say they want to come to China now that they've seen photographs of China's gorgeous landscapes.

The exhibition runs till the end of July. During that time, two performances by the China Disabled People's Art Troupe and the Sichuan Song and Dance Troupe will go on stage at the National Theater of Slovakia.
