Cartoon fans will be in their element at "Animatank," an animation exhibition from tomorrow to Sunday at ShanghaiMart. Original animation works will be showcased.
A 1,000-square-meter park zone offers huge inflatable castles, animation photography, cosplay show and interactive games.
Children can take pictures and play games with the Beijing Olympics mascot, the Fuwa, and learn about history and sports of the Games.
A special post office will deliver your best wishes to survivors of the Sichuan earthquake. Children can make friends with kids in Sichuan Province through letters and postcards and can also send gifts like stationary and toys.
A doodling contest encourages children's constructive imagination through cartoon drawing, painting, paper crafts and other expressions.
"The Queen's New Suit," a children's musical is a parody sequel to Hans Christian Andersen's classic "The Emperor's New Clothes."
By-products of famous cartoon images, including toys, clothes, stationery and DVDs are available.
"The exhibition is an ideal choice for kids to find fun during the summer holidays," says Li Shilei, director of ToonMax TV Channel, the event's organizer. "We also hope to see the booming of more original domestic animation works and young talents from this platform."
