A fascinating painting exhibition is underway at UN headquarters in New York. On exhibition are depictions of the culture and natural settings of every member country.
The exhibition titled "One World" assembles ink brush works from nearly two hundred established Chinese artists. There are one hundred and ninety-two paintings. Each represents a member country of the UN and depicts the country's characteristic scenery.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told the opening ceremony, this collection of paintings is unique and meaningful. He says it will give viewers a better understanding of the wide range of world cultures. He adds it will do much for world harmony in the same way as the Olympics sporting events this summer.
