Faku is known as the porcelain capital of northeastern China. The county has been making porcelain for about 3,400 years.Successors have kept the old art form alive as well as bringing in new ideas. That's some current work on display at the Faku Porcelain Expo.

Viewers embraced a full display of China's porcelain culture. Artists from across China moved their workshops to the exhibition hall to show their wares.

But the show isn't all about viewing, you can also roll up your sleeves and join in. Young or old, all participants enjoyed creating their own piece of art. And these future artists presented a mini display for the Expo.

It's rare to see jewelry at a porcelain expo, but many pieces could be found. They can be worn for style and they are all environment-friendly. The designers hope people will want to shed their gold or silver pieces and go for the new porcelain look.
