Disabled Artists' Show at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall

An exhibition of art creations by physically and mentally challenged Taiwanese art
ists opened at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall yesterday, with over 140 works of art on display for visitors to enjoy.
The exhibition, being held by an association that promotes the rights of disabled citizens in Taiwan, features the works of 20 physically and challenged artists in a variety of fields, including painting, wood carving, stone sculpting and weaving.
Four artists are also giving demonstrations on flower-pressing, pottery, and Chinese weaving techniques during the exhibition, with visitors getting the opportunity to try their hand at these art forms.
Among the more prominent visitors on the first day of the exhibition was Legislator Alex Fai, who tried his hand at making pottery at the booth of artists Huang Fu-hsing and Hsu Chia-liang.
Fai lauded the creativity of the artists and their determination in overcoming their limitations to produce wonderful creations that are pleasing to the eye.
