In Anhui there's renewed effort to add fresh vitality to one of the ancient industries of that eastern Province. The 10th International Bronze Cultural Expo is underway at Tongling.

Tongling is considered an important wellspring for China's bronze culture. The city has reached out to attract international participation as its festival enters its second decade.

During the week-long event, several partnerships are expected to be forged, bringing local enterprises together with foreign companies in the manufacture of bronze products.

Opening ceremonies are to be followed by a trade fair, float parade, lantern show and a seminar featuring the world's leading authorities in the history of bronze.
