Ten renowned Chinese cultural artists are here in Manila to showcase the ancient practices and customs of their rich heritage that are still performed and revered today all over the world.
These celebrated practices shall be realized in full bloom at the World of China from Oct. 23-26 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
The performances of Shanghai Shibao, a company specializing on the venerated Chinese art and handicrafts, shall be one of the many highlights of the event.
The expo will let one experience the splendor of the rich Chinese heritage by learning calligraphy, rock carving, dough figurine, paper cutting, seal engraving, wooden flute, weaving, face molding, brush making, and the art of tea.
The flower-and-bird calligraphy and painting has been one of Chinese artists’ beloved art form. It uses the nimble method by the bamboo strip to draw.
Rock carving is a unique handmade work of art which evolved from the tradition of stone carving art in Yuandiao, Basso-relievo, and sink carving.
