Buddha's Sarira Cranium Believed to be in Discovered Pagoda

Picture taken on Nov 22, 2008 shows King Asoka Pagoda of Seven Treasures, which is believed to contain a sarira of Sakyamuni Buddha, a bone section of Buddha's cranium. The King Asoka Pagoda was taken out from an iron box, which was found in a secret underground chamber in Changgan Temple relics in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province. The sarira of Buddha (finger bone) from Famen Temple was said to be the only part of Buddha's body that is left in the world. Famen Temple is located in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi province
