The China International Gallery Exposition, also known as the CIGE art fair, has announced a partnership with the U.K. nonprofit art institution Contemporary Art Society (CAS) for its 2009 edition.

The two organizations will enter into a mutual publicity arrangement with the goal of improving communication between the art communities of Europe and the Far East. The partnership is also meant to encourage European collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts to attend CIGE 2009, the fair’s sixth edition, to be held April 16–19, 2009, in Beijing.
