As the capital city Beijing gets colder, some winter events have become popular for residents. In the outskirts of Miyun, there are ice sculptures for those who want to experience the wonders of nature and art.

Heilongtan scenic spot is a popular choice for people to enjoy Beijing's hot summer. But the chilly winter has turned it into a fairy tale world for children and adults. All the pieces are designed by famous ice sculptor Yue Yi. An ice dragon is made especially for Heilongtan whose Chinese name means Black Dragon.

A tourist said, "It's amazing! Passing the channel made of ice, I've seen the ice waterfall. I never see it before."

The exhibition covers an area of more than 18,000 square meters. It has attracted many visitors since it opened on the first day of 2009. The exhibition will run until the end of February.
