In its second changing of the guard in the last six months, the Pasadena Museum of California Art has appointed Jenkins Shannon as executive director, reports Suzanne Muchnic for the Los Angeles Times. Shannon, who joined the museum’s staff in 2004 as director of corporate and foundation affairs, has served as associate and acting director for three years. She succeeds Christopher Mount, who took charge of the museum August 1, 2008, and departed in mid-January “to pursue other things,” the museum’s spokeswoman said. In a press release announcing her promotion, Reed Halladay, chairman of the museum’s board, praised her accomplishments in fiscal stewardship and development and credited her with helping to put the museum in a strong financial position.
