A group of artists has been researching the possibility of the painting language and has made eminent achievement in expressing the feeling of life by expressionism. The typical artists of this kind are Xie Dongming, Yan Ping, Wang Keju, Jia Difei, Wang Kun, Duan Zhengqu, Jing Shijian and Ren Chuanwen.

They were all born during 1956 to 1963. Compares with the ones of the other generation, they are more persistent with the mix of magnanimity and heaviness. Their early works are similar with those of their compeer’s,i.e. their works are with lots of narrative factors and turn to expressionism later. They attempt to keep the visual interest through their eyes and hands and their art style will make progress continually.
