Police in Connecticut say a second arrest has been made in the theft of artwork made by a victim of the Unabomber.
New Haven police charged Dennis Maluk, 53, with first-degree larceny. He was being held Friday on $150,000 bond.
Police said Monday a weekend raid of a home where drugs were allegedly sold turned up 39 pieces of stolen art, including two paintings by Unabomber victim David Gelernter. Authorities say the art was stolen from the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale and the public library and traded for drugs.
Gelernter, a Yale computer science professor, was critically injured in 1993 and had to learn to paint with his left hand.
A lawyer representing Maluk could not be reached for comment Friday evening; a home telephone number could not be found.
