Artists' copyrights are being increasingly valued in China and an exhibition promoting authentic artwork is now running at the Beijing Jing Guang Center. It's the first exhibition of its kind organized by the China International Copyright Trade Center.
The exhibition showcases Ma Xun, who specializes in grassland landscapes, and Tang Hua, a master of flower and bird painting. The exhibition of authentic pieces by the two established painters highlights the importance of safeguarding artists' copyrights. Ma Xun's works are mainly inspired by the scenery of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region's vast grasslands, and in particular, horses. Tang Hua's flower and bird paintings show the influence of ancient Chinese painters, as well as that of modern western and Chinese masters. His works are highly prized by private collectors.
