Benedict Chukwukadibia Enwonwu's "Negritude" is estimated to earn £20–30,000 at tomorrow's contemporary African art sale at Bonhams.
Tomorrow's "Africa Now: African Contemporary Art" sale at Bonhams in London will be the first-ever auction of contemporary African art in the U.K.
The 93-lot sale was occasioned by the recent success of the Nigerian market, according to the Telegraph, though artists from six nations will be featured.
Notable lots include works by Benedict Chukwukadibia Enwonwu, El Anatsui, and Nelson Mandela. The former South African president, who has two prints in the sale, has never before sold a work at auction.
