A Chinese photo exhibition, showing nature, culture and tradition of China's region along the northern latitude 30 degrees, opens here on Monday.
About 60 photos were displayed in Jordan's National Library for the exhibition titled "China's 30th parallel & Tibet of China: Past and Present."
"These pictures are wonderful," said Sabri Irbeihat, Jordan's cultural minister, who joined Chinese ambassador Yu Hongyang to inaugurate the exhibition. "We can see the huge changes in China. It is so impressive."
Yu Hongyang, for his part, expressed hope that the exhibition can help Jordanians get a better understanding of China including Tibet, its past and present, thus further boosting the friendly relationship between the two countries.
About 200 people from Jordan's cultural and educational communities visited the show during the inauguration.
"The photos are splendid and amazing. China is also a great country. It's our pleasure to hold this photo show. We hope Chinese and Jordanians can know more about each other," said Mohammed Al Abadi, deputy director of Jordan's National Library.
The 30th parallel passed through the country's Changjiang River Valley, China's most densely populated and economically development region.
