A car museum containing hundreds of old cars has proved popular since opening in Dalian in Liaoning Province earlier this month.

Located in the Taiyanggou Scenic Area in the Lushunkou District of Dalian, the museum has more than 300 old cars.

Dalian Antique Car Museum, founded by Liu Xiangyang, a collector from Dalian, is the first private old car museum in China, said Yin Ge, the museum's curator, on Saturday. Among the 600 collections of the museum, more than 300 are cars and motorcycles, including venerables badges such as Benz and Cadillac, and the local Red Flag brand.

This Red Flag convertible car was the inspection car used by China's late leader Deng Xiaoping, while the red Cadillac was a birthday gift from Elvis Presley to his mother.

A Cadillac limousine was a gift of the American government to the former Chinese foreign minister Huang Hua.
