Fu Xinmin's modern arts sculture exhibition will go on display in Sep. dring the 798 art festival. 

Highlighting the theme of "the Habitat of Soul", the Retrospective Exhibition of Fu Xinmin's Modern Arts features Fu's exquisite sculptures and inkwash paintings, such as "Frozen Scenery", "Inspiration", "Walking Through", "Conversation", "Fission", "Weaving", "Blue Light", "Newborn", etc.

Over the recent years, Fu has been focusing on people's living state and living space. On his hands, the natural materials (woods and roots) and the modern industrial products (steel and resin) are interlaced, mixed and squeezed to form sizable and unified sculptures that are overflowed with his creativity and wisdom. Both the ancient philosophy of restriction or checking relation in the Five Elements (Gold, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth) and the modern dialectical thoughts are demonstrated in his artworks. Fu's inkwash paintings, enigmatically expressed in plane elements, lead audience into a mysterious, unearthly world.

The values of people's lives, the existing basis of human being and the ever-changing universe are unveiled by his works. This is an infrangible law of nature. While the human's exploration into, and responsibility towards, the universe are communicated, a high tribute has been paid to life, and human's reverence for the nature and the unity of history and culture are revealed.
