Exhibition of the most authentic Chinese folk culture and art that opened last Wednesday at Beijing's National Center for the Performing Arts.
105 objects, 174 pictures, and multi-media programs showcase the achievement of arranging and preserving operas, dance, music, and literature since the new China was founded.
Visitors can also check out the proverbs from different regions and ethnic groups around China. Some of the adages have been widely used not only in China, but have also become popular overseas.
The music instruments of Xinjiang Uygur's art treasure Muqam attracts a lot of visitors. Some of the exhibits are adapted from ancient music instruments.
More than 60 photographs of traditional Chinese operas, renowned artists and theatres present a panorama of the history.
The exhibition will run for one month. Those who show a ticket from the National Center for the Performing Arts can get in for free.
