NEW YORK—All charges have been dropped against a young woman who stripped in the middle of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a photo shoot in August.
The woman, Kathleen Neill, was posing for photographer Zach Hyman, who's made a practice of shooting naked women in public places in New York. He gives himself 30 seconds to take 10 shots, comes equipped with bail money and a lookout, and sells the images for around $2,500 to $9,500. Previous settings include Times Square and Chinatown.
In this case, Neill was charged, with public lewdness, exposure of a person and endangering the welfare of a child.
"Rather than risk a decision by the judge that would establish the legality of her conduct, it appears that the district attorney has chosen to make an application to the court to dismiss all the charges," said Thomas J. Hillgardner, Neill's attorney.
A spokesperson from the D.A.'s office confirmed that the charges were dropped, indicating that the case could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
