A magnificent retrospective of the great Chinese oil painter Jin Zhi-lin opened on the 17th of May at National Art Museum of China. The exhibition showcases the extraordinary works created by Jin Zhilin among his 60 years art career.

Jin Zhi-lin is one of the greatest artists in China. He is the professor and committee of Central Academy of Fine Arts, member of China's Ministry of Culture, and the committee of National Folk Cultural Protection Engineering Expert. The state council issued him with outstanding contribution as “Special Government allowances expert". In France, the highest award committee dedicated Mr. Jin the gold cross.

As one of the artist in New China since 1949, Jin Zhi-lin fulfils the spirit which was announced by Chairman Mao in Yan’an literature colloquia. In his art career, he always insists to combine art with life and nature, conveying his aesthetic of austerity, lucidity and strength. Through his artworks, every audience would be touched by his sincere love to the country and people.
