A 300-meter-long scroll entitled Picturesque China is on display at the Xiamen Center for the Arts until the end of this month.
The mammoth scroll is made up of 156 smaller ink paintings showing the landscape of different provinces, each of which has been created separately by 138 veteran artists of Chinese ink painting including Bai Xueshi, Qin Lingyun, Guan Shanyue and Zhang Ding, over the past decade, says Chinese Artists Association chairman Liu Dawei, a participating artist.
The huge artwork will tour major museums later this year in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao, says curator Lin Runjiang.
