The first batch of props from the Shanghai World Expo opening ceremony is going to be auctioned in August and ordinary people, including foreigners, will have a chance to bid on those props, according to a report from Oriental Morning.
On the night of the Shanghai World Expo's opening ceremony, a large and colorful show of LED lights and hundreds of flagships moving on the Huangpu River wowed the audience. Expo organizers had said citizens might have a chance to bid on and collect those props as souvenirs.
Recently, Shanghai International Commodity Auction Co., Ltd announced that they would put the first batch of those props from the Shanghai World Expo opening ceremony up for auction, and both Chinese nationals and foreigners all could bid for them.

Huang Jian, the vice director of the Coordination Bureau of Shanghai World Expo, said there were successful examples in the history of Olympics and Expo of putting relative properties for auction. It could not only increase the organizers' income through the auction, but also a competitive auction allows the objects to fetch a higher price.
So far, the auction company has already released detailed information on its Web site, and the first batch of props is going to be on auction this August.
The props at this time's auction include motor boats, motor-less flagships, LED light balls, clothes and other props used in the opening ceremony, and now those props are being evaluated for trigger prices.
