Shanghai is now the focus of China and even of the world, thanks to the World Expo of 2010. Times and again, the Bund and the Suzhou Creek have been the focus of photographers especially those who are living in the city.
These conceptual works are created by Chinese and foreign artists, represented in gelatin silver prints or in digital fine art prints, they cover the changes of Shanghai over a span of more than 30 years.
Combined together these pictures form a visionary memento that evokes in our heart and mind the memories of Shanghai this metropolis now part of the globalized world. Time, is what lets us pay more attention to what she has been in the past and what she is becoming in the future.
