The mummy, who wears the mashed-up clothes and looks like "Brother Sharp" was unearthed in 1985.
A mummy with a history of 2,800 years wearing mashed-up clothes, including a long, dark coffee-colored coat with red laces and felt socks in three colors of red, yellow and light blue, has a style that rivals China's online celebrity "Brother Sharp."
The mummy, who wears the mashed-up clothes and looks like "Brother Sharp," was unearthed in 1985 and has a history of 2,800 years. Having died around 50 years old, the man is 176 centimeters tall and belongs to the Europeoid race. There are punk-like curved lines painted with yellow dyestuff on his eyes, nose, cheeks and temples.
The exhibition entitled "Ancient treasures – Xinjiang's Unearthed Cultural Relics" will be held in the China Three Gorge Museum in Chongqing from Oct. 28, according to a report by the Chongqing Evening Post.
Reporters saw at the Museum of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region that although the exhibits have existed for several thousand years, they are not old-fashioned from the aesthetic aspect of contemporary people.
It is known that 200 unearthed cultural relics will be on display, including mummies with a history of 1,000 years, silk fabrics, gold and silver articles, official documents, paintings and wooden articles.
The exhibits have a time span of 1,000 years and include as many as 44 cultural relics under first-grade national protection with an estimated value totaling at least 200 million yuan.
The exhibition will last until Mar. 1, 2011.
