Whenever heard of Grassland Over The Horizon, which is sang By Mr. Lian Han in natural, powerful and broad voice, I feel like flying over the vast grassland with the wing of the singing. Whenever looked at colorful photography works of Mr. Lian Han, I feel like living inside the beautiful picture. No matter his singing or photograph would always make people feel refreshed and allow people to admire art of beauty. People understand his works with imagination. Most people would think of that Mr. Lian Han creates with his heart, affection and brain when they look at his photographs. They would also think that Mr. Lian Han knows about the true essence of art of photography.

　　Mr. Lian Han loves to take photo of folk, documentary, portrait and landscape, especially landscapes. He is a young, diligent and hard working photographer. He has been working in the field of art of photography painstakingly and passionately ever since he fell in love with pho-tography. He is eager to pursue and discover the art rather than playing to gallery or eager to make success or benefits. He would not be trapped by secular concepts or materials. He would neither tend towards fraudulent practices of the world nor confine to outmoded conventions because he has an original and true heart to sense the nature. He creates and builds his own world of art under lights and shadows with inherent affection of photographer and with sincere attitude of “no pain, no gain”. He understands the world by enlightenment from nature, life and things. He knows things better than others and he integrates knowledge he understood thoroughly to make his art attainments perfect. He steps into the palace of photography although he started to love photography in late 1980s.

　　Photography is an unique art. An unique and satisfactory photography work would only be created in independent thinking, no matter the work is about portrait or landscape. A good photography work is the fruit of the photographer’s knowledge and long-term tempered personality. Only people who are equipped with rich knowledge and well cultivation in art could have sharp insight and have sentiment towards objective things, which triggers their inspiration and creativity. This is the way for them to create connotative works. The experience, tolerance, talent and accomplishment, mind, soul, spirit, sentiment, as well as the attitude of life of photographer would be reflected to his works directly or indirectly. Mr. Lian Han devotes to his career, loves his life and art, which offers him with high state of the mind and great perspective of the world. When working in Chifeng City, Mr. Lian Han took photo of every corner of Chifeng in his spare time, including photos showing the spirit of mountains and rivers, his deep feeling of vegetation, funny moments with birds and animals of the wild. Every photo he took accidentally was so funny and meaningful. The charm of Chifeng lets him know about what is the real mountain, real matter and real affection. He looked differently and thought differently about the nature.

　　I deeply appreciate photography art accomplishments of Mr. Lian Han and I feel so glad to see him learning arts unassumingly and dili-gently. I greatly admire his charm of personality. Mr. Lian Han used to say: I remember when I was in high school, my father had bought a 120 camera and kept it in a red wooden box. My brothers and I were so proud to take photo with that “square box”, because only whom got good performance in school could take photo with the “square box”. I would take photos on people after class. I made an exposure box by myself. I washed, printed, glazed and dried photos in the darkroom. I was so busy and so happy at that time. I think I loved photography at that time with no reason. I loved photography more in my spare time ever since I started to work, because I could make friends, gain good feelings, exercise, enjoy the process, know more about the world and be happy during photographing. Funs from photographing never stop.

　　Autumn comes when people harvest after winter when lives are bred, spring when hopes are seeded and summer when expectations are filled. It is so glad that Collection of photographs by Lian Han would be published soon to meet vast readers. I got mixed feelings when seeing the collection sending to the printer, because Mr. Lian Han paid extra time to photography art even though he had to work with conscientious care for his career. Congratulations! Hereby I prepare a Preface to wish him every success.
