叶澜手下的自然 Nature of Yelan

  初见叶澜是在泰康路的工作室,莽撞地闯进她的空间时刚好撞见一个修长的身影用手指在画布上热情地滑动。忽快忽慢,忽进忽停。

  工作室里弥漫的空气里没有音乐,却似乎听闻隐隐乐声,让我难以离开。我轻轻地站在那里观赏了一段时间,生怕打断她的创作。站了隐约30分钟还是被她察觉了,神情专注的她谈起话来却有些神秘,很是有趣。

  画室里的画作独有魅力,国画的,水墨的因素恰到好处地融进西方绘画的空气里,不生硬,超自然!荷花系列的清秀超脱,飘逸自如,却没有古板的束缚。正如她的人,无拘无束,自由自然。人体系列的流畅的笔触,有国画技巧中的一气呵成,却同样惟妙惟肖,富有现代绘画的节奏感。画者对性感的独特的理解,神秘地体现在每一幅作品里,轻飘,唯美,却拥有力度。自画像系列的素雅格外特别,对自我的观察是一个载体,体现了她对人性的敏锐理解。偶有她心爱的猫咪,和她身旁难以割舍的饰品,来自生活,体现她对生活的热爱和原则。每次面对她的画作,都会同时面对那画面后很多张熟悉的面孔,总是让我恋恋不舍,相见恨晚的感觉会随之而来。

  站在她的画作面前,发现自己的想象力展翅飞翔,身边的诸多故事都在重现,正像重逢阔别多年的老朋友,亲切,感人!

  绢布上的表现容易扩散颜料,事实上从画面的技巧上很难把握,而她的良好的控制能力正是她的新作成功的支柱。而绘画过程中的朦胧感有时来自那天然的偶然,我想象这是她选择绢本的另一个重要缘由。

  Yelan, the first time I met her was at her studio at Taikang Road. I walk into her studio rashly. It happened that I met a slender figure who was painting on a canvas intensely in a different rhythm without a brush, but her own fingers.

  There was no single sound in her studio. However it seemed the sounds of faint music make it difficult for me to away from her. I sat silent for some time for fear of interrupt her inspiration, lost in her works. She wasn’t aware of that in first thirty minutes. After that, I was attracted by her humor and mystery, those add salt to her conversation.

  In the studio, lots of elements in her works have been pricked in some flowers, of those Chinese brush drawings and ink and wash paintings, into the customs of her own country. The lotus series were facile and grateful, flung off the chains of the staid tradition. Just like Yelan’s self, can be everywhere at home. The fluent-brush body series were at a heat. The artist imitated the Chinese painting skill to perfection, together with the rhythm sensation of modern painting. Her original view of sex reflected her each graceful but powerful work. The self-portrait series were particularly simple but elegant. It was a vector of her keen sense of human nature. In her life, you can find her beloved cat and priceless trinkets. Those things made her become more appreciative of the meaning of life and its permanent spiritual values.

  Every time I stared at her works, in the meantime I also caught sight of some familiar faces behind the paintings. I wish I had known her sooner. Standing in front of her paintings, I realized that my imagination was flying. Many stories around or about me recurred to my memory. Touch my heart just as has a reunion with a long parted old friend.

  The paint is easier to spread on the silk. Some artists feel it difficult to grasp the skill, but Yelan did well with her success. The images were obscure in her silk painting. I think it was another vital reason that she chose silk.
