Preface

It has been said that a beautiful building is a dynamic three dimensional picture. It can also be said that the Antarctic Im Pressions fills the observer with beauty and wonder which lingers and ignites the imagination.
The Antarctic Peninsula located at the southernmost tip of the Earth has millions of years in history. The continent is home to the coldest climate, strongest wind, and is known as the world’s wind database. But the photographs in this book are pictures of poetry. The photographer, as a Chinese with inherited artistic sense, expresses the emotion directly, meanwhile, conveying the inner feeling of indulgence, through vivid pictures.
When I first met Wang Hairong, I only knew that he was the CEO of a multinational company. Through our common hobby and friendship he has grown to be a valued mentor. He has a cheerful personality, is down-to-earth, and enthusiastic. His diligent style of work and “good mood every day” disposition is not only his motto, but his way of life that is admired by his friends and colleagues alike. A famous philosopher once said “A man’s charm does not reflect on himself, but on what other people think of him.”
I’ve always thought, the significance of life was about what you do, to stick to a valuable ideology, and the result would always be an achievement. Hairong’s trip to the Antarctic, initially set out to challenge the limits of his potential and at the same time achieve personal fulfillment. I hope that those people who are ambitious in life, career and art can learn from Wang Hairong and have a calm state, regardless of success or failure. All should try their best to contributing positively to society.
