　　20世纪80年代，湖南工笔画群体崛起于中国画坛，邹传安是其中的杰出代表之一。他自幼习画，长年致力于工笔花鸟画的研究与创作，对传统的画理和技法有独到的理解，对西画色彩亦广采博收，并坚持以造化为师，为百花写照，日渐形成了其工笔画状物精微，赋色清丽的风格。他的工笔画艺术特点还在于：他善于从历代反复出现的经典意象中创造出新的艺术境界，其中傅彩之精良和意韵之高妙互为表里，反映着作者独特的情感个性和审美趣味，晚年画风更重视工笔画形式语言的深化和丰富，笔下富丽与雅逸并举，姿彩叠变与笔墨秀润相得益彰，画家意匠精奥之妙超然于画外。

　　居深履厚---是他近十年来从艺生涯的一种精神状态，他以工笔花鸟画创作作为自己的精神领地，深居简出游心艺事，妙悟造化而学力精深，面对先生的作品，鲜有不被其静穆从容的风度所打动，这正是老一辈艺术家严谨专注的治学态度所至。“居深履厚---邹传安从艺50周年回顾展”力图全面展现先生艺术的全貌，所幸先生数十年来的各个时期的代表作品保存相当完整，其中还包括未发表的写生稿、草图、书法、诗稿等等，可以说是基本上涵盖了先生从事学术研究和绘画创作的不同时段，并标示出其艺术思维的演变历程，更可贵的是，于此展可以见到一个艺术家成长的心路历程。

　　In the 1980s, a traditional Chinese realistic painting style was emerged in China’s art circles, Mr. Zou Chuan’ an is one of the outstanding representatives, who studied painting when he was child and has devoted himself to the study and creation of flower and bird painting, he has his own understanding to the traditional painting methods and techniques, meanwhile he also learns the western painting skills, he has formed exquisite and fresh painting style. Mr. Zou is good at creating new art concept from the traditional and classical paintings, which reflects his unique emotion and aesthetics; in his old ages, he paid more attention to deep and enrich the painting styles, his paintings are splendid and elegant, the diversified colors bring out the best each other with the writings, we may see a realistic world from the painting.

　　Great Paintings from the Secluded Life-this is a spiritual state of Mr. Zou in his painting career, he takes flower-bird painting as his spiritual field and has a secluded life; his works always make our heart moved by the easygoing style, which is the serious study attitude of the old artists. “Great Paintings from the Secluded Life-Review Exhibition of Zou Chuan’an Paintings 50’ ” shows all aspects of Mr. Zou in his painting life, fortunately, his representative works in various periods are well stored including some drawings, calligraphies and poets, covering all periods of Mr. Zou engaging in academic study and painting, they mark the changing process of his concepts; more importantly, we can see the road of growth of an artist.
