　　北京市文学艺术界联合会辉煌走过了六十年，从第一届文联主席老舍先生的旗帜传递中，曹禺、杨沫、管桦、金铁霖先生率领首都文艺队伍将接力棒注入了鲜活厚重的文艺成就。六十年一个甲子，文联正年轻。她把时代的气息，新中国的巨变，用文艺的形式，记录了一个民族成长过程中的一个个符号。今天，在中国美术馆她谨用书法、美术、摄影、民间艺术四种方式，来庆祝自己的生日，用生日的礼品，向人民汇报六十年征程。

　　既然是旗帜，就要在千军万马中色彩鲜红;既然是号角，就要在步伐雄健中嘹亮引领。那就是我们的队伍，竞得百花齐放，那就是我们的方阵，迸发出百家争鸣。万紫千红的画卷里，书法、美术、摄影、造型长江黄河万里激情;戏剧、电视、电影，展现炎黄子孙代代英雄;音乐、杂技、舞蹈，跳跃时代震撼的脉搏;小说、曲艺、民间艺术，放飞中华民族的强盛。文联大家庭，辛勤耕耘劳动，创造出文化的发展繁荣。

　　Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles has sixty years’ brilliant course from the first president Mr. Lao She to Mr. Cao Yu, Yang Mo, Guan Ye and Jin Tielin, they have led the capital artistic team to inject the baton with fresh and massive literary achievement. A cycle of sixty years and the Federation of Literary and Art Circles is young. It has written down the flavour of the times and the great change of the New China with artistic style as one after another character in the process of national growth. Now, it uses the four measures of calligraphy, painting, photography and folk art to celebrate its birthday in the National Art Museum of China and report the sixty years’ journey to our people with its birthday present.

　　Now that it is a flag, it should color red in a large number of flags; now that it is a bugle, it must be sonorous in advance. So that is our troops which make all flowers bloom together and all schools of thoughts contend for attention. Calligraphy, painting, photography and modeling make the miles passion of Yangtze and Yellow Rivers in the drawings; drama, television and film exhibit all the children of the Yellow Emperor are heroes; fiction, quyi (Chinese folk art forms; including ballad singing, story telling, comic dialogues, clapper talks, cross talks, etc.) and folk art make the Chinese nation powerful and prosperous. Federation of Literary and Art Circles is a large family; it will create development and prosperity of culture with hard work.
