(Artron.net Boyan Wang) June 25, A Painting (collection) exhibition of Yu Zhenli held at Jinshitan International Convention Center, Dalian, more than 30 paintings of Yu Zhenli showcased in this exhibition.

Born in Dalian, Yu Zhenli started learn art since his was a little child. At 80s last century, he involved himself in Modernism painting energeticly and make him became one of the active Modernism artists during the Reform and Open time. In 90s, he changed his painting style to Abstractionism and held a solo exhibition of Abstractionism at China National Art Museum. then, he returned to his hometown Dalian from Beijing and lived in the Big Black mountain (Dahei mountain) and transform his life as an art. He use waste as his art creation language to produce works such as empty wine bottles installation, tire installation, stone sculpture and garbage house which expressed a Post-Modernism sprit and a environmental awareness.

Half of the works of this exhibition accomplished at 80s, last century which including “LAOJIANG” (The Old Oar) “HAIGUI” (Oversees Returnees). There are works which influenced by Western trend of thought in literature and art such as “WANJIADENGHUO” (Lamps and candles of myriad families), “SHENMINGXILIE” (Life series). The highlight works showcased in this exhibition was “TAOSHENG” (Billows sound) and “GUOSHANG”, the two paintings are realistic oil painting, among which, “TAOSHENG” won the Liaoning province Youth Creation Gold Award in 1983 and “GUOSHANG” once attended the sixth National Arts Exhibition in 1984.

1991 “International Modern Art Show” and so on important exhibition.

On March 2, 1993 first abstract exhibition in Chinese Art Museum .

1994 participated in “the fine arts critic year nomination to unfold”,

1996 Attended the 1st Shanghai Art Fair Exhibition.

2002 Attended in Guangzhou conducts “the 1st China Art for Three Years Exhibition”.

2003 Attended in “The Metaphysical Abstractly Exhibition” in Shanghai and afterwards celebrates exhibition in Shanghai Art Museum.
